Dump Ninja Junk Removal donates, recycles and re-homes what it hauls in Woodland, Davis and Yolo County before anything goes to the landfill: more than 1,000 cubic yards diverted last year, and 113 working appliances given away free through the Second Life Appliances program, on the way to a thousand.

Donate first. Recycle second. Landfill last.
Every load Dump Ninja hauls out of Woodland, Davis or Yolo County gets sorted before it goes anywhere. That's not a marketing line. It's a truck bay on Matmor Road with piles that say "donate," "scrap," "e-waste," and "landfill," and the landfill pile is the small one.
Last year that added up to more than 1,000 cubic yards kept out of the Yolo County Central Landfill. Furniture went to families. Metal went to the scrapyard. Mattresses went to California's recycling program. Electronics went to a certified e-waste recycler.
Second Life Appliances
If a washer, dryer, fridge or stove still works when it comes off a job, it doesn't go anywhere near a landfill. Dump Ninja re-homes it free to a family in Woodland, Davis or Yolo County who needs it, and the environmental fee on that appliance is waived. One hundred and thirteen appliances so far, sixty-eight of them last year. The goal is a thousand.
It's the reason a lot of our customers call. The fridge they're replacing works fine. Somebody should be using it.
What goes back to the community
The monthly raffle sends cash, prizes and gift cards back to customers and neighbors. Working appliances go to families. Usable goods go to local organizations. It's the vision the business was built on: make room in one home so someone else's gets a little easier.

What we can't take, and where it goes instead
Dump Ninja legally can't take everything, and we'd rather tell you now than in your driveway.
- Paint, chemicals and solvents: limited quantities. Ask us. Small amounts we can usually take. Larger amounts have to go to the county's household hazardous waste drop-off, and we'll tell you where.
- Asbestos, medical waste, ammunition, wet-cell batteries. Never. Yolo County's hazardous waste program handles these.
- Appliances with refrigerant. We take them. The appliance goes sealed to a certified recycler who recovers the refrigerant, which is what the environmental fee covers.

What happens to my stuff after Dump Ninja picks it up?
Dump Ninja sorts every load in Woodland before it goes anywhere. Working appliances go into the Second Life program. Usable furniture and household goods go to people and organizations that can use them. Metal, e-waste, mattresses and cardboard go to recyclers. What is left goes to Yolo County Central Landfill.
How does the Second Life Appliances program work?
If the washer, dryer, fridge or stove Dump Ninja picks up in Woodland, Davis or Yolo County still works, we re-home it free to a family who needs it, and we waive the environmental fee on that appliance. So far 113 appliances have gone back into the community, and the goal is a thousand.
Do you recycle mattresses?
Every one. California’s mattress recycling program covers the disposal, so Dump Ninja charges no mattress surcharge: a mattress rides at the same volume price as anything else and never goes to the landfill.
Can Dump Ninja take paint, chemicals or solvents?
Limited quantities. Small amounts Dump Ninja can usually take with a Woodland or Davis job. Larger amounts have to go to Yolo County’s household hazardous waste drop-off, and we will tell you where.
What can’t Dump Ninja accept at all?
Asbestos, medical waste, ammunition and wet-cell batteries. Everything else, ask us; the answer for most of what is in a Woodland garage is yes.
How do I get on the appliance giveaway list?
Call or text Dump Ninja at (530) 444-4441 and tell us what you need. When a working appliance comes off a job in Woodland, Davis or Yolo County, it goes to the next family on the list, free.
