About Dump Ninja

A stay-at-home dad, a purple truck, and a promise.

Dump Ninja Junk Removal is a locally owned junk removal and pet waste company on Matmor Road in Woodland, California, founded by Jeremy Mahan in August 2023. A crew of five, a 21-yard truck, 470 five-star Google reviews, and a standing rule: donate and recycle first, landfill last.

How it started

In August 2023, Jeremy Mahan posted this on Nextdoor:

"I have been a stay at home dad for 10 years and as of today, the last of my 4 kids are in school and I get to start working! I'm starting a junk removal business! I can remove trash, junk, furniture etc. If you want it gone, I will get it out! Call or text anytime."

That's the whole origin story. Ten years of running a house with four kids in it turns out to be decent training for junk removal: you learn to move fast, leave a room cleaner than you found it, and not make a big deal out of the mess.

The first truck was small. The second one holds 21 yards, which is more than most haulers in the valley run. The crew grew from Jeremy alone to five people. The rule never changed: you call, we come look, we name the price on site, we load, we sweep, we leave.

Not a franchise

Dump Ninja is a local crew on Matmor Road in Woodland. There's no national script, no call center, no truck that drives in from Sacramento. When you call, the person who answers has been on the truck. Jeremy is named in about one out of every five written reviews, because he still shows up on jobs.

Two years and 470 five-star Google reviews later, seven different crew members have been thanked by name. Some have moved on. The job still goes the same way, whoever pulls up.

The crew

Names you'll hear on the truck.

Every production employee is OSHA HAZWOPER certified, fully insured, and trained on the same standard: name the price first, sweep before you leave.

What we believe

Mission. Make people's lives better by giving them back their space and time.

Vision. Be part of a community that makes room in their homes so they can make a difference in someone else's: less in landfills, more in the hands of people who need it.

Values. Excellence. Generosity. Landfill diversion.

The give-back is not a slogan

Working appliances get re-homed free through the Second Life program. Usable furniture goes to people who need it before it goes anywhere else. Cash, prizes and gift cards go back to the community through the monthly raffle. It's the reason a family business exists in the first place.

“This is the second time we have used them. As always, perfect from start to finish. Jeremy and his crew are extremely professional. They even cleaned the driveway before they left!”

“Jeremy was a lifesaver for me while cleaning out my mother’s house! He and Roman were professional, courteous, efficient, and meticulous. They came to haul stuff away four times and left the place spotless each time….they even cleaned 16 years of junk that had accumulated under the couch! Jeremy is focused on keeping stuff out of the landfill and does a lot of donating and recycling. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Worth every penny!”

Landfill diversion

Green isn't a slogan here.

If it still works, somebody should be using it. We donate, recycle and re-home whatever we can before anything sees a landfill.
